The scope of this project includes the restoration and renovation of the basement at 3702 S 162nd St, which was previously impacted by flooding and water damage. The work will address all necessary repairs to the damaged areas and flooring restoration, ensuring the space is compliant with all current building codes. In addition to the restoration work, the basement will be finished to create a separate, self-contained living space, intended as an accessory dwelling unit (ADU). This living space will include a full kitchen, bathroom, living area, and bedroom(s), designed to provide a functional and safe environment for family use. The project will comply with all SeaTac regulations regarding ADU construction, including requirements for separate entry, utilities, and adherence to zoning and building codes. All construction will follow the city’s guidelines to ensure proper ventilation, safety, and living conditions.
