Development of a sediment transload facility to transfer dredge sediments from barges to rail containers on trucks. The project will include soil handling cells made of stacked gravity blocks, overlayment of existing pavement, and supporting utilities. The project will also include above-grade water treatment equipment placed on existing pavement. Utility trenching will be required for a electricity for the facility and for a new sanitary sewer force main will be installed to discharge wastewater. The wastewater line will be connected to the existing sewer lines that discharge the site into the Seattle Public Utilities sanitary sewer network.
