This permit is only for a partial demolition of the home. The entire foundation and most of the basement interior framing will remain in place; while all main level exterior and interior walls, the very old roof, the deck, and the chimney will be demolished to make way for new. Existing framing is old, does not represent current building code, and is 2x4 framing. The house will be re-framed to enable construction to current building code, with new materials, and 2x6 exterior framing. See BLD2023-1031 for architectural and structural engineering plans for the new framing.
Demolition of the northeast corner of the main level of the home was already performed under BLD2023-1035, and the shoring done under this permit will be removed during this demolition.
