The purpose of the Project was to conduct emergency maintenance on the deteriorating creosote-treated timber retaining wall by replacing it with a soldier pile wall; the minimum action necessary to eliminate the imminent danger to the SFR, in accordance with County-approved site plans as described in the August 6, 2021 emergency approval letter. The replacement upland retaining wall was constructed entirely landward of the existing SFR, with all materials and equipment accessed from the upland via the existing compacted gravel road and driveway. The replacement retaining wall was completed on September 15, 2021.
